With todays image June finishes and I complete the first month of my 365 Days of Underwater Photography Project. I think it is a good opportunity to look back at the images and information I have been sharing and plan the posts ahead so I will really appreciate to receive your feedback on whether you like or dislike how the project is evolving, the type of images, the content or anything else you would like to see.

After 30 days of uploading images and the stories behind,I can say that posting everyday it is quite compromising and sometimes hard to maintain the timing but I must also admit that is very encouraging and pleasant the many comments I´ve received from people who like the images and the idea of the project, obviously that helps me to continue sharing my photos with you, one every day at least for the next 11 months (hopefully :-)).

Moving to the image for today, it is one of the most colorful fishes here in the Mediterranean a female of an Ornate Wrasse “Thalasomma Pavo”. I have recently discovered that this fishes are Protogynous hermaphrodites, this unpronounceable word means that they are born females originally and as they age & depending on the conditions some shift to males.

This animals swim quite fast and you will mainly see them swimming arround posidonia grass gardens, also is easy to see them approaching divers looking for the food uncovered by their fins.
